Howard Brooks was interviewed regarding the FBI’s recovery (March 16) of 75 pounds of documents which might have been stolen during the BIA Building takeover.  The documents included a list of the 22 Robeson County Indians recognized by the Secretary of Interior in 1938 as one-half or more Indian blood (names reprinted).  Brooks claims descent from the Hatteras Tuscaroras.  His Tuscarora Movement, now composed of 500 members, seeks federal recognition and has other aims.
