Dancing in the gardens of the Lord: The faces of American Indian powwows in North Carolina. DVD. 12:22 minutes. Pembroke, NC: Native American Resource Center, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, 2007.

Annotation:

This 12-minute video shows a slideshow of faces from American Indian powwows. It opens with a short video sequence of people in a gynasium dressed in custom American Indian garb. It then cuts to a slideshow that takes up the rest of the run time. While the presentation of different pictures of people enjoying powwows is displayed, there are many tracks of American Indian music in the background with strong drums and also chanting. This video slideshow provides a good idea for the dress, music and atmosphere of a powwow.
