"McCrory awaits final count, faces long odds [editorial]. Robesonian [Lumberton, NC] November 16, 2016.
Incumbent Gov. Pat McCrory is now counting provisional ballots as a way to contest Governor-elect Roy Cooper’s victory in November.
About 2,000 provisionals were cast in Robeson County, which ranks sixth in the state. Currently, Cooper leads McCrory by just 5,000 votes. Even this may not be the last step, and the Governor’s race could head towards the courts.
