There is currently a Republican plan to redraw the state’s judicial districts, and it would entail Robeson County combining with Hoke County. Robeson County is North Carolina’s largest county at 951 square miles. It isn’t clear how resources would be reallocated, but people are speculating about how this would affect the funding for the prison system in Robeson County.
