Annotation:
The Lumbee Tribal Council approved Dock Locklear for the position of tribal administrator on February 1, 2016. Locklear was Chairman Harvey Godwin Jr.’s choice and had been the interim administrator since Godwin was named chairman. Before being the interim, Locklear was the Chairman of the Robeson County Elections Board from the year 2007 until 2012. The vote was 20-1 in favor of the 70-year-old Locklear. He will replace Tony Hunt and said he will basically be supervising the daily operations at The Turtle.
