Shiels, Bob. "Edge: State ‘intentionally delayed’ stalls project." The Robesonian [Lumberton, NC]. April 15, 2017.
Commissioner David Edge is claimint hat the Department of Agriculture has “‘intentionally delayed' getting [horse] stalls constructed” at the Southeastern North Carolina Agricultural Events Center (para. 2). Edge believes that she state has the money, but hey have not made the move to build the stalls. Kent Yelverton, head of the state Department of Agriculture, says that the delay is not political, and he hopes there will be enough equestrian business for Lumberton and Williamston. Rep. Charles Graham supports the lumberton project, saying it will help the economy to boost the equestrian center.
