Annotation:

Years later, one of the killers of James Jordan, father of basketball star Michael Jordan, has provided new details in the case.

Daniel Green has maintained for years that, while he did help dispose of the body, he did not shoot Jordan. He submitted documents that bolster claims of law enforcement misconduct. His attorneys say that Sheriff Hubert Stone steered the investigation with other motives. These claims were brought up at trial in 1996, but the judge rejected the attempts.

Larry Demery, the other man convicted for the crime, described the incident as a car-jacking gone wrong, and he will testify at Green’s trial. Demery allegedly has ties to Hubert Larry Deese, who was Stone’s son and a convicted drug trafficker. Green’s attorneys say Jordan may have stumbled upon a drug deal and was killed.
