Annotation:
"The Lumbee Tribal Council voted on Thursday to close the tribal rolls to new applicants until the current enrollment policy can be updated” (par. 1). The enrollment ordinance has been the same since the tribal government was created. Leadership wants applicants who have a role in the tribe. The council members also worked on the 2018 budget for the tribe.
