Annotation: 

Lumbee Guaranty Bank announced its pledge of over $1.8 million to the Public Schools of Robeson County for a thirty-year scholarship program. Beginning this May, the bank will award a $1,000 college scholarship to one student from each of Robeson County's six high schools and to one student from South View High School in Hope Mills. Students may renew the scholarship for up to three years or until they obtain their undergraduate degree. The scholarship may be used at a two-year college, four-year college, or a technical school. Lumbee Guaranty Bank is sponsoring the scholarship through the Community Bankers Scholarship Program, which assists banks in aiding their communities through innovative programs.
