In regards to the suing of Anheuser-Busch recently by the Lumbee people over the illegal use of a logo and slogan in alcoholic advertisements, R.A. Jeffreys Distribution Co. says it removed the ads before they were sued. R.A. Jeffreys said the ads were done in a way that intended to honor the heritage of the Lumbee Tribe. They also said that Anheuser-Busch had no involvement in the making of the ads. R.A. Jeffreys says it regrets any offense taken and values the Lumbee heritage. Anheuser-Busch also released a statement about how it respects the Lumbee.
