Annotation: 

Announces the first showing (in Givens Performing Arts Center) of this documentary film on the life of Henry Berry Lowry.  The hour-long film is narrated by Carnell Locklear.  Intended for educational and public television use, the film is serving as a masters thesis for Van Coleman, a UNC-Greensboro faculty member.  Robert Locklear, an actor with twenty-five years' experience (including “Strike at the Wind!”), plays Henry Berry Lowry.  Mychalene Deese, who has been a professional dancer since 1985, plays Rhoda Lowry.  Some scenes were shot at the Mac McLaurin Farm in McColl, S.C.; others, in Robeson County.
