which was attended by 75 alumni and concerned citizens.
Summarizes comments from several individuals. Bruce Barton,
Lonnie Revels, and Rev. Jerry McNeill urged that a Native American
be chosen. Joe Sandlin urged that someone be chosen who can get
the Regional Center for Economic, Professional and Community
Development started and can raise money. JoAnn Chavis Lowry urged
that the focus of the search be on leadership qualities rather than race.
